May 8, 1945. Great photo...great celebration.
Sadly, this was just a short breather between wars. WW2's many sacrifices well-earned exuberance and celebration of its ending would unexpectedly be short-lived and last exactly 5 years.
By 1950, our glorious leaders led America straight into yet another major war in Korea.
