I’m honestly sure this has happened dozens of times over there, and actual biological siblings at that. Fathers won’t hesitate to trade their daughters in for a half a pack of Marlboros. They all want sons over daughters.

Uhhh...doesn't it mean these people kidnapped her daughter?

No it means she abandoned her daughter to get a son. It’s fricked up is what it is.

I have a hard time believing this story is true

There are 34 million more males in China than females. If you don’t think that sons don’t go looking for girls who get out of orphanages, think again. This is very likely to have happened multiple times with neither side knowing and the parents keeping their fricking mouths shut.

She also said she sees no issue with the marriage as they aren't biological siblings.

If they have kids tho won't they be ruhtards.

So did they just randomly pick up a son on the streets???

That’s the more unbelievable part since there are almost no boys in Chinese orphanages. My best guess is she married some dude who already had a son from a previous marriage and then he died and she raised his biological son as her own.

just how does one "lose" a child?

They're Asian, the hospital probably couldn't tell them apart and grabbed the wrong one.
