eh, i seriously doubt a magnum pi reboot gets any traction from the public ... i certainly won't watch it ...
now, the reboot of the Greatest American Hero is not a bad idea and isn't really a reboot ... i doubt an indian woman has any more athletic ability than the original character ...

Alan Alda (Hawkeye) and Jamie Farr (klinger) are Korean War veterans.
Both served in Korea but after “hostilities” ended...Alda on a Reserve commitment and Farr was regular Army.. in the mid-50s. Still a cool fact that I did not know.
My favorite character was Dr Freedman, the psychiatrist - the coolest guy I’ve ever seen.

His character was a connection to reality amongst all of the insanity.

The first three seasons were magical. It was heavy drama with organic humor coping with a situation that made it feel real. The characters and storylines were authentic.
I still watch those episodes and get a lump in my throat before it's broken by a belly laugh.
In the later seasons, it became hokey with political jabs and one-liner back-and-forths between Hawkeye and Hunnicutt.
Those early seasons are some of the best TV ever made, and that sustained the series for its full run. The final MASH was an American cultural event, putting a bow on the tragedy of war and a great TV comedy.

Episode: "Quo Vadis, Captain Chandler"
A bomber pilot with a head wound is convinced he's Jesus Christ and gets a psychiatric discharge.
Klinger then shows up dressed as Moses.

Most of the time, after scanning two to three hundred channels, I wind up landing on M*A*S*H.
It's still one of the best things on TV!

MASH and The Andy Griffith Show have one very distinct thing in common. When Barney left, the show's writing wasn't very good. When Trapper John left, the show's writing wasn't very good.
Hunnicutt & Warren sucked!
