like they did after Katrina? They gave out checks of $150k to people w/o insurance after Katrina. I didn't qualify because I had insurance. Maybe they will give checks to people who don't work so they get reelected at election time.

I thought you meant would Louisiana implement a program to push our technological infrastructure into the 21st century so we could work remote, and maybe not tie our collective nutsacks to a non-renewable commodity that is being phased out before our eyes and currently priced the same as a gigantic package of toilet paper, if you could find any. I'm sure that is in the works.

The problem isn't tech... the problem is that too many LA companies are run by people stuck with old-line "butts in seats" mentalities. Several of whom post on this here website.

Lots of companies here invested heavily in this type of stuff after Katrina, but they didn't want to actually use it.

I have so many companies that went to all laptops and remote servers after Katrina, but refused to let their employees work remotely unless forced to by evacuation. When those systems needed replacing, they went back to desktops and in-house servers because it was cheaper and because they weren't using the remote tech they had.

Most parts of the country, every professional I know is working from home. Not in LA.
