It’s a little odd to expect rock bands in 2025 to somehow be less derivative 75 years after the genre was invented than bands were 20–30 years after.
The difference isn’t that musicians back then were magically more talented. It’s that they were working at a time when rock was still new and being expanded. By now, the genre is the better part of a century old, so of course later bands are going to sound familiar. That’s just what happens when a genre matures.
Rock can’t be brand new again. Once a genre exists, every generation is playing variations on the same language. By your standard, the only truly original rock music was made by the first kid to plug in an amp.

Probably had a lot to do with it. Saw the transition starting in the 80s.
