They have been about $5 a dozen in my area for a few weeks.

Depends on where you go... Winn Dickme still has them at the high price... Rouse has come down...

I have noticed the local channels in NO are really taken it up a notch on the Trump hate... WWLTV is leading the pack of BS... But the comments section on FB is all conservative and is giving it to them...

I’m pretty sure no one working at WAFB posted that on Facebook. They usually use national content creators for their local news. If you search the headline, you’ll probably find many local agencies with the same worded headlines. Whoever wrote it probably couldn’t find BTR on a map.

Where the hell are you shopping that a dozen regular eggs are $8 for a dozen?

Rouses maybe a month or two ago they were $8+ dollars. Hell, a bag of pita chips last weekend was $9.29

I bought pasture raised eggs for $6.20 for 1 1/2 dozen today at Sam’s club.

Yep, AP story with the same headline... but the body of the story talks about last month, and includes a chart from January.

Naw, we don't got no agenda here....

Cut and paste news

Have 3 dozen kosher for passover eggs in my fridge right now. Those frickers are probably $20/dozen.

Proximo hasnt really given me much data on prices.

Like, what were 2022 egg prices at Easter.

Well, considering WAFB made no reference to “prices at Easter time”, and simply stated that they are currently at record high prices, your goalpost moving has frick all to do with the OP.

Besides the whole "dashing hopes of cheap prices by Easter" they made no reference to Easter.

All i asked is if 3.20 for a dozen eggs is the new level we consider cheap for eggs. If so, great, eggs were cheap in early 2024 like Proximo said.

I mean the authors write for AP which by all media bias measure is actually left of CNN. It's comic book quality.

WAFB has a liberal agenda. Their headlines are often misleading and they sensor the comments on their social media posts.

An irrelevant point.

The OP references a claim that WAFB made that eggs are at record prices.

You attempted to obfuscate with an irrelevant point.

Are eggs at record high prices?

Hint: The OP has a chart referencing the price of one dozen eggs in USDs.

I mean, seems that way. They arent as bad as 3 weeks ago, but shite is still high as giraffe horns, no?

I'm not blaming anyone, but also not pretending egg prices aren't higher than normal. I'm sure for whatever reason the chart only uses 4 months. Figured the OP had better data, reason I asked.

Don’t worry, FT. WAFB’s article tells you that people are resorting to buying fake eggs for $2.50/dozen because of the historic prices

Maybe you can look into that for Easter instead?

How are you still doing this when I provided you with a chart a 3rd grader could read

So, the answer is no.

Why can’t you just state that?

Did the OP state that they aren’t higher than normal?

Has anyone in this thread stated otherwise?

History is 4 months long.

Got it. You're right.
