I can definitely answer this question for you. You see, the rest of the entire world sees Louisiana as the trashiest, most soggy, least sophisticated, least informed, least intelligent place in the USA. It's because La. is French, and we know that the rest of the USA is Anglo-Saxon.

SO, now that we have identified the entire state populace as a bunch of poor ignorant frenchies, the poor ignorant frenchies go to war with each other by trying to dress and act like an Anglo-Saxon. They are driven to escape the stigma by acting and dressing Anglo-Saxon and pointing fingers at others calling them "trashy" in order to promote the idea that the finger-pointers themselves are the opposite of trashy, i.e. gentrified and refined.

The truth is that the entire french state of La is trashy. Just ask anybody from Texas or Alabama -- two fine Anglo-Saxon states that no longer carry the stigma of Frenchness.

Well, I don't share Tx and Bama's view of La. I point my finger at them and declare them to be Trashy. They make fun of us here in La for speaking bad French, but, those idiots in Tx and Bama speak bad English, which is much worse, plus, they eat their boogers.
