Lots of white collar jobs have random pee tests. Which is unfortunate but there's money in testing facilities and they have lobbyists.
Unless you're in a company like Lockheed or Raytheon, which is basically a federal agency without the salary limitations, you won't see this universally applied to an entire organization.
Companies usually implement drug testing programs to save money on insurance premiums.
