Magnet schools concentrate only on team sports that focus primarily on the individual--where the individual can set their own personal goals towards improving...sports like cross country, gymnastics, or tennis.

Spectator sports, on the other hand, are more team-focused as a whole and are subject to showboating by players in front of the fans, etc. This gets away from the ideals of the entire concept of magnet schools.

because they want to focus on academics and dont want jocks


it sucks tho, made for a very boring and lame hs experience

Seems like building teamwork and learning how to deal with adversity that team sports give you at that age would be an important skill to gain for those kids

I chose not to go to BRHS because they didn't have football. I ain't no nerd

Because no one, and I mean no one outside of BRHS, wants to allow them to recruit.
