Why does a certain group of people open their door to order at the drive-thru?

Even in new cars that have working automatic windows? I just saw a 350 lb big mama at Popeyes wrestle her family meal over a 1/4 opened door and into her certified pre owned Kia Optima. Just seems like way more work than necessary

Same reason they talk on a cell phone by holding it out in front of their face instead of up to their ear.

Window broken and does not roll up or down anymore?

I HAD always assumed it was because their window didn’t roll down.
Then I had a revelation not very long ago when I saw an ole boy open his door to place the order . And then open his door at the drive thru window to pay.
His window was truly broken. All these others I witnessed over the years did not open their door to place the order. Only during the window transaction. It’s heavily skewed toward women too (approaching 100%), ha.
