Got my roof done 2 weeks ago. They used their rolling magnet to pick up the nails. I knew there was absolutely no way they got them all, so I purchased a $35 rolling magnet from harbor freight ($28 after coupon...not OT baller).
I'm at 105 nails found, and I haven't run it again after the rain and wind the other day. I understand they cannot get all the nails, but anything over 15-25 is ridiculous. My neighbor also picked up over 100 from his roof.
Btw the roofers are paid based upon the number of pallets of shingles they put up. Nothing extra by getting all the nails up.

Same here. I rarely jerk it any more. Have friends older than me that tell me I'm weird and that they tug it on the reg. I'd rather wait a few days and get the real thing than tug.
