re: Why do female ex-bartenders like to re-live the “glory days”

From my experience in bars, and it's pretty extensive at my age, I have seen basically 2 types of women behind the bar.

The younger, college age gal who is trying to make some money while pursuing a degree and often working at more than 1 bar to make ends meet.

Then there's the older woman who got locked into the bar scene, likes making cash money in tips, doesn't really have an exit plan because she's living for the moment and things like retirement funds, hospitalization, vacation plans, etc. are for the stiffs.

Most of those women are aging far faster than most other women in the job market and their personal lives are usually shite.
