They have smiles painted on and it looks like they're hiding something behind the makeup.

The irony of it makes them scary. Isn't that obvious?

This. Anyone who says that they're terrified of clowns are just doing it for attention.

I agree...but then again, why would anyone want to appear to be a pussy by admitting that he is scared of clowns?

I think it's more of a creepy factor instead of fear.

Spiders creep me out.I'm not necessarily scared of spiders.

^This. Although, when I was little one of my friends had a clown doll (or whatever the hell that thing was) that was just downright scary looking. You can bet that neither of my kids will have one of those creations from hell in their room...

Terrified yes, creepy, no. If clowns don't bother you at all you clearly did not watch It when you were a kid. The creepiest halloween costume that's come by my house the past few years is this one kid in a scary clown mask that rides a bike ever so slowly and doesn't say a word.

At 9 years old at the time, I clearly remember the night that "It" premiered on television, and I watched both segments when they were shown during those 2 weeks. I thought it was a great movie, (although it was a little slow at times). I would say that the only "questionable" clown that concerned me even the slightest bit would be the clown doll in the first Poltergeist movie, when it was underneath the boy's bed, and it came to life tried strangling the boy. I think that only got me back then because of the simple fact that a damn doll came to life and tried killing that boy. Even after watching that movie, I still don't see why the sight of any clowns would freak some people out.

Clowns do not exist to make you laugh. They are waiting to reveal your deepest fears then attack you that way.

Their true intention is your painful death. Gingers have no soul originated from most clowns having red hair. frick a clown!

Don't believe it? One in particular kills or steals the health from millions, every year.
