i'm gonna take it easy and enjoy the atmosphere instead of racing it. hopefully the weather is nice.

I say this every year, get all fired up at the start and go hard and suffer.

Glad I'm walking w/o pain this week. I'm looking forward to the booze at the end of the race.

Don't injure it again in a freak lap dance accident.

i do the same thing at some races that i only intend to use as a catered training day - but then find that i've got the piss and vinegar to push it.

so i'm hoping that the crowds and narrower streets in the quarter will force me to take it slow(er). it's not a course or race that is really conducive to setting a PR, so why go balls out?

They generally have a few groups handing out beer/shots. Some give out hot dogs too.

I think I crossed the finish line with two cans of beer in my hands last year.

I'm running and plan to poster by the slimmest of margins. There will be much suffering at a 7 min pace.

I say this before just about every race and end up pushing myself too much. Shooting for a 52 minute time, though 50 is within reach.
