Played foosball against the singer from Warrant at Tiger bar. Asked Shaq there one night after he was drafted by Orlando what he thought about taking Stanley Roberts job for the second time. He laughed and said its not like that. That dude is huge.

I can't say who I've rode in an elevator with because people will know who I am.

But, celebrities stay in my apartment complex frequently, but I'm always too star struck to say anything.

Burt Reynolds at Barnes & Noble on Vets in Metry.

Jean Claude Van Damme at Cafe Maspero in the Quarter

I shook hands with Gorbachev once at an event in Houston, but that's not really "in the wild".

Best one was Tom Jones while on a flight to London- went to pee, noticed it was him on the way back. Apparently a LOT of people noticed because when we were getting ready to land the fliight attendant said "you might have noticed, Tom Jones is on this flight and we're so glad to have him as a frequent flyer" (or something like that) and everyone clapped and he stood up and waved at everyone. Lol!

I have a family member that was a 1st round pick in the MLB draft and had a 10 year career (1991-2001) as a relief pitcher (Moms 1st cousin so not sure what to call him?). When he would play in Houston or Dallas or Atlanta we would try and go see him. And we always got to hang out with the teams afterwards at a restaurant or the hotel if possible. Ive met Nolan Ryan, Mark McGwire, Ivan Rodriguez, Alex Rodriguez, Rafael Palmeiro, Brian Jordan, Ray Lankford, Troy Glaus, Mo Vaughn, Darin Erstad, etc, etc. Those were the big name guys though.

And my Moms cousin(?) was a cool guy and he knew he had it made. Got over $1m a year to pitch an inning or 2 a month

Other than that, Johnny Knoxvill, Shaq, Jack Del Rio. And a few more just cant remember them at the moment.

John Denver at the grocery store in Aspen. Also met Chris Evert at the same store. This was in 1989 right after she had retired and was still a household name. Third place would be Darrian Hatcher on the street walking around Chicago. I went up to him to shake his hand and said aren't you Darrian Hatcher? I may have been unshaven and dressed like a bum....he backed away. Then I told him I was from Dallas and a Stars fan.He shook my hand then.

This brings up a relevant question:

When you see Lynard Skynrd getting on the same airplane, which is the appropriate reaction?

A) OH HELL NO!

or

B) This actually improves my odds, given they've crashed once (albeit statistically inaccurate)
