New Balance makes good shoes. I spent $190 on the 990v4s that really helped some issues I was having with my feet. I've worn them almost everyday ( including jogging) for almost a year now, and don't see much evidence of wear and tear.

I tried on the New Balance 990s this weekend. Made in USA.

I told the clerk, this must be what they strap to peoples feet when they throw them in the ocean.

Felt like walking on concrete.

They have several different soles from hard to soft. You must have tried on the hard ones. You can mix and match the soles from any shoe.

I don't know. I went to the website just now. Seems the soles on the 990v4 are standard. Theyre hard as shite. They might be the hardest sole ever made and I'm not understating it.

Go to the New Balance store. You can get whichever sole you want. The hard ones are for a particular type of foot.
