I agree that California is awesome. It also is on an unsustainable trajectory. It has 1/3 of the nation's welfare recipients despite having 12% of the population. It's becoming increasingly a state of rich and poor with a rapidly declining middle class.

To be fair, Baton Rouge doesn’t really have any suburbs worth a damn. I’d rather live in BR proper too
