I think having a pet gator is crazy, but sounds like this guy knew what he was doing.

Didn't know that. The whole story about their family having the gator for 61 years is pretty cool.

i grew up about a mile from that place. Back in the day when i was a kid (before they started giving tours), me and my friends snuck into Kliebert's to see the gators in the pond. Those frickers were about 20' long and looked like a bunch of light-poles floating in the water. Without a doubt, the gators they raise are the biggest I've ever seen in my life.
