Pigeonforge/Sevierville/Gatlinburg is a pretty cool family trip. You can break up the drive in either direction with a stop in Chattanooga and check out Ruby Falls, the Incline Railroad and Rock City Gardens. We spent the night there and hit the Incline the day we got there, checked out the next Morning and hit the other two then left for Pigeon Forge.
