re: What’s with all the dead owls?

Just a guess, but I'm thinking with the sugarcane harvest in full swing, owls are hunting more in daylight hours to feast on the rodents being flushed out of fields by the harvesters. This might be leading to more roadkill incidents in the late afternoon traffic.
