Went to a gay bar with my gay buddy and a group of friends in December. Few dudes came up and asked if they could buy me a drink. Every time I said "I'm straight but sure". Most of them just laughed but one of them actually went through with it and we had a nice conversation. The gays are good folk

I think the difference is you don't pronounce the r at the end of one of them.
