Why isn't there any more development of Perkins Rowe

What else do you want?

Do they have any more land to build on?

Envisioning Hyacinth as some kind of lesser Perkins Road ain't gonna happen. There is no way it is going to connect out in a straight enough line to make it a viable alternate route.

They're not trying to make Hyacinth a "lesser Perkins Road". It's a CONNECTOR. It, along with all of the other 6 or 7 connectors WILL HELP in NOT dumping traffic directly to Perkins and Glasgow routes. Jeez man.

I have heard differently from people involved but they may have had an axe to grind seeing as Tommy fricked them into bankruptcy.

As far as him not shutting the AC off that one week in July. I guess those businesses just elected to turn it off on their own? Because I was there and the AC was off.

The guy is a scumbag and people know it.

They must have because you just don't flip a switch and turn off an entire chilled water system and the Neuro building would have been off as well.

And they are about 1/3 of the way finished with a 350 unit apartment complex on the land directly behind the Neuro building so yeah there is more development.

Not agreeing or disagreeing with you on that. I don't know. But, I certainly can't blame him to leverage the ONLY card he had left from getting fricked around by the banks holding the note.

do know several that took a hit on Perkins Rowe but if anyone knows his history he was a solid developer for the most part until Perkins Rowe. And my belief on it was he tried to do it all himself and never had it on the market. His intent was to keep it and run it in lieu of developing and selling to a hedge fund or real estate investment trust. He was getting jammed by the first general contractor out of Texas and when he got rid of them he decided to finish the buildout with his own company and that was a very bad decision.

Well said and totally accurate. He wanted to have full control of it too. The man had a great vision for that place and poured a ton of his own personal money into it (millions)when the banks started jacking him around. Most people don't know the whole story.
