That’s interesting, because their warranty doesn’t cover “wear and tear”. How’d you pull this off?

I fill out the form online and send them in. No magic. I never thought it was covered either but they have never told me no. I dunno.

I just got mine back a couple weeks ago. They covered the repairs, just cost shipping.

Only thing that sucked was I called to get a status after a week longer than the original estimate. Customer service/chat rep was completely worthless. Covid, short staff, my frame was out of stock with no eta when they’d be back in stock. Blah blah blah. Offered to send me a different frame. I pointed out that the site would allow me to order my exact pair. I got a reply that the site wasn’t always right. So I just hung up since they couldn’t tell me anything.

Two days later a new pair showed up with a new case and microfiber cloth.

Just got mine replaced 2 months ago. Rubber trim had come off the bottom. My model was no longer available so they offered similar pair to replace. Paid nothing. They sent me a pre-paid ups label to ship mine and then sent me the new ones 6 weeks later.

Since they sold, I hear it’s not as fluid a process.

I'd say the opposite.
I have a pair of Brines I sent in two years ago - they charged me around $50 to replace all the rubber on them. I didn't know the cost until I had already sent them off or I might not have done it.
The same pair broke at the temple last week, and the new system allows you to upload pics and get a warranty answer before you send them in.
It's costing me the $2 for a little box at UPS to get a brand new pair. I had 5-6 choices of frame and lens color to choose from. My old pair wasn't an exact match with what they offered, but it's better than buying a new pair.
