Rocks. Not even unique geological rocks but just ordinary rocks from you find outside that I thought was interesting. I kept them in a container and would take them out and look at them.
One day my son picked up a piece of concrete from a parking lot and turned it over in his hand looking at it and said I'm keeping this. I thought Yep that's my child.
