I moved recently. I moved 3,208 feet through the same neighborhood strreet and it cost me $1740 Dollars. using Father and Sons AND the only items they had to move: 2 beds and head board 2 couches 2 medium dressers, a coffee table and 2 small metal book cases ...1700 dollars

The book cases. For example.weigh 10 lbs ( I took the glass out already) were wrapped with a shrink wrap, then 5 blankets each...then more shrinkwrap ,.then packing tape

At the end of the move I had over $460 in material used...I must have had 30 rolls of packing tape left over that were 5-10% used. ..the shrink wrap was $37 a roll and had six of those left over. IF they use it..they charge you for the full price.

I still have tons of partially used packing tape rolls. I gave the shrink wrap to a friend

Ialso when the crew arrived and saw the light amount of work he called into his office and complained that they weren't going to get paid because it was a already lmostly done ( I was prepared to pay the 3 hr min). But somehow it took almost 6 with 3 people

I would not recommend Father and Son

We just completed a move from the US to Europe and the experience with the moving companies themselves were good on both sides of the move. Despite that we still had $11,000 worth of items "disappear" from our shipment. Container arrived here sealed and I was there when it was opened and unloaded. Because of this and how specific the items taken were it seems likely the people hired to pack our house in the US likely took our things. Unfortunately this was a local Louisiana company.
