I don't think OP was passing judgment, just expressing curiosity.
What's up with the condescending reply? What does it accomplish?
Also, what practices by amateur hobbyists are not sacrosanct and the adoption of which do not render them a higher caste of gymgoer? For example, remember when a bunch of goofballs had those "altitude training masks" but didn't understand the premise that the benefits of altitude training only accure if you spend 24/7 at altitude and not during a workout? Would such a goofball be a higher caste of gymgoer? Or just a jabroni with delusions of grandeur?
