Yup. I know a good amount of students from Texas who were in the top 5-10 percent of their class but wanted to come to LSU. However, a good amount of the Texas LSU students I'm friends with were in the top 10-15 percent which is still good IMO

I scored a 27 in 1984. The max score then was 32 I think. In any case I flunked out of northwestern in 1986 because I majored in beer and pussy instead of going to class. 
I went to LSU in 1998 and graduated in 2001 with honors. I got my masters in 2004. Personally, I think everybody should be required to work a few years before going to college. Might make students actually care about getting a degree
