They build pork barrel water projects in arid regions of the west so farmers can grow subsidized crops where nature never intended them to grow.

Part of the Department of Interior. Have some interesting jobs. Not sure, but their pay grades may be on the low side. most of the older departments are low compared to the newer "high tech" departments.
