When we first moved to our street (dead ends at a ravine and is only two blocks long) we took the kids trick or treating on our block.
Lady across the street says "I have no candy but I have some wine" and proceeded to give all of us (wife and kids) "to go" glasses of wine.
Sad thing is no one ever trick or treats on our street. I wish someone would bus some kids in.

Guy down the street was a teacher. He put little pencils and paper pads in our bags. Guess he wanted us to learn something. We did. We learned to avoid his house the next year.
