Recently went to a restaurant on the moon. Food was pretty good, but no atmosphere.

Our youngest is 16 so we pretty much have to make her spend time with us now

I have more free time outside of work now than I have in about 2 decades.

Wait, are there really people who can just like hit a pause button on their brain? Is that a real thing? I don’t think I’ve ever had a moment where I wasn’t thinking something or another.

I call it “a booger in my brain”. It might be a word, an emotion, a Turn of phrase or tune,
The muse strikes and I am her thrall. I have to get it out, write it down, or else it’s over. Like furiously scribbling, trying to recall a dream that’s dissipating in a haze. Snatching at whimsies.

Sometimes I catch them. Sometimes I can only sketch their shadows and shapes.

We only had to do that with our two kids a few times over the years. I can’t imagine doing it for a whole season.

What's the best basic set up to get? I have a Visio surround sound bar but I want something with crisp sound that allows me to better set up so that I have an even balance.

A surround sound bar is false advertisement because its not really surround sound.

Dude unless your 60 - cognitive decline shouldn't be an issue unless you were on some hard core drugs

My son came home from college this weekend for his birthday (he turns 21 tomorrow) and we busted out the old school Monopoly last night. My wife, son, daughter, and myself sat at the kitchen table playing Monopoly all night. It was a perfect evening.

Damn man.

I will say this though, while I’m glad my time is free now. My son has moved away to Auburn and my daughter is a freshman in high school. I kinda do miss those Saturdays missing college football because I was coaching my son and watching my daughter cheer.

She’s plays on the tennis team at school. But literally every game they play is on a Tuesday at like 3:30 or 4:00 PM. Me getting to see her play is rare.
