The priest isn’t even an injured party. Brooks just will not stop asking those questions which are not helpful to him anyway. He is so annoying. The jury has to dislike him intensely.

Exactly. She’s trying her best to preserve the verdict on appeal. Her hands are somewhat tied I guess.
