It happened to me, the plumber told me I had to snake all the way to the street. The main drain was just clogged. He also advised to use liquid detergent, and to be careful what went into the toilet.

I paid a plumber 1.5 years ago to snake it for me. 15-17 months later, I had the same problem and tried a snake. No results. Poured about 48 oz of baking soda, washed a load and monitored the pipe for overflow. First cycle I cut the water off as the pipe filled and turned the machine back on after the line drained. Haven't had a problem since.

Didn't want to use drains or other chemicals. Working so far.

Check the vent for clogging...

Then buy you some insta flow flakes and use this kicker arse drain cleaner to clear the line...I buy it at stines lumber locally.

You're welcome...

Same here. Have had a plumber use a water jet at least 4-5 times over the past couple of years.

Bought a water jet nozzle and 100 feet of pressure washer hose last time. I just get up on the roof a feed it through the drain vent.

I seem to recall a prior thread warning about masturbating in the showers as semen clogs the drain.

We can only assume you must be doing it in your laundry, clogging your drain just the same.

Had the same issue. Call Marino Plumbing and talk with Carl. He's a good, honest dude.
