Depends on any number of factors such as gas line/elec line length, need for elevated platform, and demand but I had a 22kw installed several months after Florence hit us here in NC.
I built the platform from my dock pilings and set it in place with my tractor. Hook up for gas and additional regulator was about $400. Electrical hookup from gen to ATS to meter was about $1800.
I received quotes as high as $6000 (elec connection only) from others but this was about 2 months after the hurricane. Most around this area seem to be in the $2500-$4000 range now.

I have a family member that bought one of those a couple of years ago. Took 10 weeks from decision to purchase, to fully operational. Need an installer, gas line extension, permits, etc.
