Out in the Everglades when it gets very cold, the shallow fresh water varieties of fish die. That’s like ringing the dinner bell for the alligators and buzzards. Something that I think about sometimes is how the Vulture is the only bird of prey that doesn't kill anything, yet they get the worst rap of perhaps any bird.
