Saw a Mardi Gras episode of COPS the other day circa 2004 with the 8th district undercover unit. Some great scenes there.

Whether this works or not, I can certainly appreciate it. SDT is someone who has been around here for a while and is actually trying to make a difference in the city.

Cops generally behave differently in plain clothes. When I was younger, I had a couple run up on a buddy and I thinking we just bought weed from these black dudes. We didn't, but my buddy had some in his bag. They found it and told us to be on our way without writing a ticket or anything.
I also had two rescue me from stumbling around in the quarter after getting jumped and being knocked out. Don't remember much other than them saying, "Are you alright?", trying to call someone for me, and since I was still too dazed to think properly, they took my ID and brought me home.

I think this whole concept is a joke. So you have the app on your phone, and you walk up on a random crime going down , and you get on the app to report it?
IMO by the time you see the crime happening, and have time to get your phone out, get on the app and report the crime, the crime will have already been committed.
