Holy shite...I totally get that minimalism is a fad right now, but I really hope they didn't pour too many resources into creating that new logo.
Kinda reminds me of modern art...in terms of the finished product on the canvas, it's literally something that a 3-year-old could do, but since somebody "cultured" and "artistic" did it, it becomes an incredible masterpiece.

I don't understand why they don't get someone to design the check as the V in Verizon in a very minimalist, flat way. Seems like a much more cohesive design without adding any more complexity.

They should have just accentuated the "v" in the name to look more like the red one and been done with it.
