Anybody got any tips on a good spot to play a round of golf in/near Vegas? Not looking for the best course in town but certainly not the worst either. Needs to be within 30 min. the Strip.

Wynn or Bali Hai if you want to stay on the strip.

Shadow Creek, Cascata, Rio Secco, Paiute if you don't mind driving.

In those orders.

Rio Secco lets you rent caddie babes. It's sorta their calling card. Worth the money.

We played Bali Hai last month when we were there. Really fun course. Avoid Wynn unless you want to pay $500 to play it.

I've played Rio Secco many times, but I didn't use the CaddyMates or whatever they call them. We usually tee off early before they arrive.

I'm playing Angel Park next week, a local muni. It's nothing special but they have a lighted Par 3 course and a putting course.

I practice at the TaylorMade facility, formerly the Callaway Center.

Bali Hai is nice and it's on the strip. Played there in May.

Wolf Course at Las Vegas Paiute Resort. I've played all the aforementioned courses except Shadow Creek and Wynn, and Paiute is the best value in Vegas. It's right about 30 minutes from the strip if memory serves.

Bali Hai

It's the longest of five courses I played on vacation surprisingly

One bad thing. The planes fly over this fricker every two minutes but you get used to it.

If you make a side trip to the Hoover Dam and want to get in a round in Boulder City, I've played this course. Not the best deal in Vegas but you could do a lot worse. LINK

There really aren't any bad courses out here, just look on groupon or amazon local for a deal.
