Did mine as well with no Valium, just local. Wasn’t too bad. Definitely follow the orders even if you feel fine and the jock strap holding the swollen nuts up helps tremendously.
Most of the younger docs now that I work with don’t give patients the option of local only. They use anesthesia for all of the vasectomies.
