Awesome build! I’m currently working on a KV-2. It has a massive turret.

Is it the Tamiya KV-2? I’ve come close to buying it several times. But it’s such an ugly vehicle, I can’t bring myself to pulling the trigger.

Yes, it’s the Tamiya kit. It is a very ugly tank, but it’s very unique.

Yeah. I’ll probably break down and buy one soon. If not nothing else to fill out my WWII Soviet vehicle line.

Thanks! That one actually won me third place in a model show a few years ago.
Legit one of the best jobs I've ever seen. The cool thing is that it looks worn and no raised edges or the like.

Thanks. Like I said, less is more when it comes to this technique. And using thinned paint also helps.

Nice work. For whatever reason Ive never built much Russian or Soviet armor, Italian aircraft or almost anything Japanese, altho Ive got a Tony on deck after I finish this Tamiya P-38F/G Lightning. Going to be one of the aircraft on the kill Yamamoto mission. Great kit, almost falls together, Fit and finish is exquisite.

Just finished. A very fun build. Zero issues with kit.
