I have a room at home where I both build and display my models.

I also have a shelf in my office at work where I display models.

(I’ll probably be adding a second shelf next to this one soon)

Yes. I’ve done it a couple times.

I have a Königstiger, Panther, and PzKpfw IV Ausf. H In my stash I’ll be applying Zimmerit to.

The kit I’m Building now is a Dragon. They’re tough. The fit is good overall. But they’re really complicated and their instructions are quite vague. They’re worth it , but still a challenge.

You know looking at this stuff really makes me wonder how nazi Germany had the ability to manufacture this incredible amount of war machines and man them. It wasn’t a terribly populous country

Yep. That’s one of the models my MIL bought me for Christmas. I didn’t have the heart to tell her I’ve already built it some time ago.

That’s ok. I’ll gladly build it again.

Those are really well done. JW do you happen to happen to work in an electronics store and take a bicycle to work?

LOL. No. I drive a 2021 Ram 1500 and work for an earthmoving equipment manufacturer.

My favorite subject to build is armor, specifically WWII era German vehicles. As for my favorite build, I’d have to say this one.

Darth, is there any new(er) technology in modeling? Is superglue used or are we still using that modeling glue we used 30 years ago when I was a kid. It smelled like lemon, if I remember correctly. Made me feel kinda funny when I smelled it, too!

Model cement has evolved. I use this.

Not sure if you can sniff it and get a buzz or not. If so I’ve gone an immunity to it.

Tons of newer tech. 3D resin printing is really becoming popular to print ultra detailed parts. Most modelers use Tamiya extra thin cement and not that older stuff you are talking about. CA (super glue) is used for some things
