Aren't most meetings useless?

Meetings are the clear indication that it is useless people who end up in management. If they knew what was really going on, a meeting would probably not be necessary

90% of all meetings could just be sent in an email.

fricking this. I've been in meetings that have lasted hours only to get to the end and they say: "We need you to do this and this."

I'm thinking, you could've saved me hours of lost time and money lost due to non production if you just shot me an email that said "We need you to do this and this by this time frame".

My boss and his boss have sometimes up to 10 meetings a week with their boss. Just a waste of damn time is all it is.

For example, on Friday they had 3 separate meetings with their boss and it contained the same group of people in each of the 3 meetings. After one meeting ended, they would take a 15 minute break, go back to the meeting room and start another fricking meeting. It is the most ridiculous thing I've ever witnessed/heard of in a corporate setting.
