It has a bypass button that can be mounted on the opposite side of the door.
These drowning stories make me shiver, as I have a pool and a 3-year-old and another on the way. The very first day after we closed on this house, I had a Life Saver pool fence installed. I'm about to put in a water level alarm as well. There's no overdoing pool safety.
