urbanization, sustainable cities, project 2030 and the corona cost

every time there is a hurricane, the major city media quickly point out the cost of living in a coastal environment and use this to pump up insurance rates, increase fema elevation standards and promote enlarging cities to ban folks from the coast. California is a leader in building restrictive covenants that promote apt living .
looking at a county level data base of corona statistics across the usa, 93 % of the reported infections are limited to counties associated with large cities. they are the breeding ground for infection and that has to be figured into future urban planning, with population density standards to limit exposure. the benefit is maybe 5 trillion since the economy would not have been shutdown.
media elites complain about 50 billion for hurricane damage, only 1 hundredth of the infection consequences of corona

Where are the New Yawkers now making fun of Katrina victims?

I wonder how much this causes even more migration shifts if people reprioritize what’s important in life
People living away from their family in a small efficiency apartment they are overpaying for (potentially with one or multiple roommates) justified it by having restaurants, nightlife, access to city amenities, etc.
But a situation like this where you’re stuck inside with none of those perks (and still paying a premium), they may reconsider. San Fran/NY/Chicago may suffer even more migration out

Imagine being stuck in 400 sq ft apartment alone through most of this. That's got to be miserable.
