I understand that you are close to this and your emotions are probably running high because of it. I have been past the site where they have the bicycle memorial and I am sorry for your loss. The question I have is how well-lighted the street is there. It doesn't look very well lit. We are all ultimately responsible for our own survival. When we participate in activities that are considered dangerous our chances of survival decrease. Did they have a right to be on that street? I am sure they did. Was it a smart move to ride down a street with few streetlights late at night? Not very. Could their use of pot affected their judgment? I am sure it could have. Under the best of circumstances This was risky. I think this was a tragedy all around. I think the guy will get 10 years.
