I'll defer to people that have actually been to prison but it seems like the scumbags inside would have a lot smaller selections to choose from and, absent some other circumstance, this kid may be low on the totem pole to target.
I'm sure these are plenty of 5'8" 160 pound rapists and pedos to keep the prison justice system busy while he does his stretch.
