It seems like the government has gotten some assurances from Russia behind the scenes or something because they are being more forceful and threatening all of the sudden.

Russia makes me sick. Putin is the biggest egotistical bastard in the world. He has almost set that country back to what they used to be during the Cold War.

Must be. She was walking through a wooded area. There were other people that appeared to be just out for a stroll or a bike ride. Somebody had their dog out for a walk and she stopped to play with it for a bit.

It seemed like the protesters were simply going to be able to wait them out. The govt must have figured out that the longer this goes on the worse it is for them. They probably think they need to act before they lose the upper hand.

Getting back to the USSR is Putin’s ultimate dream. He was the head of the KGB he loved the days of the cold war. I'm sure he would love to pull Ukraine back under the Russian banner as well. If this plays out in the governments favor and they fall in line with Russia, I wouldn't be surprised if at some point in the near future Russia would make a play to absorb a faltering Ukraine. Russia has had a hand in all the woes of their former satellites.
