IB, for International Baccalaureate. You can think of it as "holistic", though that sounds too preachy/woke. They don't use AP at all, or at least it's limited. Students do have to write a fairly big thesis paper/research thing to earn their diploma. Not sure what it has to be about. It's not as "test" centered as schools that use AP, but it's also not a Montessori school on steroids (someone suggested that once in a conversation). They offer a wider variety of courses students can take, kind of like a small, elite but very good college.

Something along those lines.
