I'm 51.
I went through a phase in my 20s.. Lots of social drinking.. groups going out, softball games, fun times back then... never really felt like I needed to drink, but it did affect my work and I would be at some girls house and leave from there to go to work. So I kinda just stopped drinking pretty much, but never felt like I had an addiction or was an alcoholic... even to this day...
I'll have a beer or a vodka tonic or two on the weekends now or golfing... but I can easily go years without alcohol and not think about it.
Weed is my vice, has been for a long time. Yeah I can live without it, but I just don't want to...
I dose about every day just to have a better mood and it keeps away depressing thoughts.. The comedown always sucks for a day or two.
