They basically ask you to repent or leave, not me, the divorced parents.
Since it is virtually impossible for repenting then that only leaves the other option. I don't think I want to reside in a religion that doesn't accept someone over something they can't control.

Impossible. Even if every man in the world was hetero it wouldn't work mathmatically. I have witnessed at least 70% of the women I know go lesbo with enough alcohol.

I never said "made up". Pay attention...my proposal was make it legal like an adoption and the whole situation the way you put it is now no longer an issue--legally as is just about any other scenario. The emotional stories are not necessary. Wouldn't matter what your other family members think, you legally name who you consider to be family/next of kin like adoption does. Just call it a civil union and make it legally binding. Do they want all of the legal rights or do they want to just call it "marriage"? Just don't call it marriage but facilitate all other rights through the JP.

Although, it does only pertain to "American adults", so the number is likely higher.
According to their study in 2011, they estimated that 1.7% of US adults identify as gay or lesbian. A further 1.8% identify as bisexual. ~8 million American adults identify as gay, lesbian, or bisexual, comprising 3.5% of the population.
The study may be limited in its scope though.

so youre down with this whole adoption scenario and making all these new laws so they can adopt each other but youre against just including them in marriage where all the laws are already in place and "working"?
