The poli thread would be so much easier to troll, but I made a promise to myself not to post over there again.

IDK about that. They are too busy discussing the wealth of musicians in the Poli board's thread about the Grammys for some reason.

HEY!!

Scruffy posts over there too. We aren't all crazy.

Not saying you're ALL crazy, but people there are more likely to sling around the word "agenda".

You see the guy on there saying something about the deficit like that has something to do with gay marriage?

I had to come back to this thread before I had to suggest we let them get married so they can be taxed like married couples.

It was a marketing ploy. Grammys are damn near irrelevant anymore and now they'll be discussed for a couple of days.

They aren't pushing anything, they are fighting to be relevant again.

This. It was a perfectly put together marketing scheme.

Hell, look how long this thread has gone. Scruffy can only imagine how much they are talking about it on twitter and facebook.

No I'm not pissed about the straight marriages but the Grammy's is not the time/place to get married. the only reason they were participating was to assist pushing the agenda. The entire thing was to push same-sex marriage.

It's the fricking Grammys, not some institution that should be held sacred.

quote:

I've already said, I'm not against giving legal family rights to same sex partners. Call it civil unions and give partners the same rights by allowing a civil union that allows person A to legally name person B as a family member in the same manner as adopting a child. Leave "marriage" to the churches and get gov't out of it altogether. Make it a form of adoption then the sob story of the sick person in the hospital and their partner not being allowed blah blah...becomes a non-issue. Marriage sprang from the church, not the government but the government has taken control of it.

What the frick are you blabbering about. Pretty sure if your religion isn't supporting gay marriage it won't take place in your church.

Hell, I married two pieces of 3/8" steel today with a 6011 rod, didnt get the popes approval before that marriage.

It's got at least two posters, who aren't interested and above such discussion, hanging on every post.

What's wrong with a group of people standing up for what they believe in? Nothing was forced upon you. It was advertised that Macklemore would sing that song and that gay and straight people would get married during the show. If you are against it, change the channel

Nothing wrong with people standing up for what they believe in. The Grammys is not CSPAN or the national mall. I just have an opinion that there is a time/place and the Grammy's aren't either.

I didn't catch the ads saying that and didn't know that was planned so when I caught on, I changed the channel.

Definitely. Scruffy enjoys watching people get angry and defensive.

He also is hoping to share his wisdom with those less fortunate. Scruffy cares. He really does.

There also isn't anything else to discuss on here and Scruffy is bored.
